Defence General Management Programme
A six-month general management programme conducted with the Directorate General Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, preparing Armed Forces officers for leadership careers in industry.
Twenty-four weeks across five terms at the Lucknow campus — core management courses in the first three modules, electives in the final two — with a cohort of officers transitioning to civilian careers.

Programme Structure
Five terms, twenty-four weeks
Conducted with the Directorate General Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, at the Lucknow campus.
Modules 1–3
Core management foundation
Accounting and finance, marketing, operations, human resources, strategy and economics — the complete general management toolkit, taught through the case method.
Modules 4–5
Electives & specialisation
Officers choose electives aligned to their intended industry roles — from supply chain and project management to consulting and general administration.
Throughout
Transition support
Corporate interface sessions, resume and interview preparation, and the batch compendium that presents every officer's profile to recruiting organisations.
For Recruiters
Batch Compendium
Each DGMP batch publishes a compendium of officer profiles — service experience, education, functional exposure and intended industry roles — so that organisations can identify and reach out to officers directly. Recruiting organisations may request the current batch's compendium from the MDP office.
