Our Story
Milestones
1984
The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is established as the fourth IIM, at Prabandh Nagar on the outskirts of Lucknow.
1985
The Management Development Programmes department is created, beginning IIM Lucknow's engagement with practising managers and executives.
2005
A second campus opens at Noida, dedicated to executive education — weekend and modular formats within reach of the National Capital Region.
Today
A triple-accredited school with a portfolio spanning open MDPs, long-duration certificate journeys, C-suite tracks, the DGMP, and customised programmes.

A classroom built for experienced professionals
Case method at the core
Classes are built around cases, simulations and group work — frameworks are tested against the collective experience of the cohort before anyone takes them home.
Curriculum refreshed annually
Programme content and teaching styles are revisited every year so that classrooms track the questions managers are actually facing.
Flexible delivery
On-campus intensives, live online sessions and blended journeys — designed for professionals who learn alongside full-time roles, in India and abroad.

The 200-acre Prabandh Nagar campus hosts residential MDPs through the year — the Management Development Centre, executive residences and the institute's full academic infrastructure in one red-brick setting.

Noida
Established in 2005 exclusively for executive education, the Noida campus runs weekend and modular programmes for professionals across the National Capital Region.

Professionals who complete 21 days (126 hours) of MDPs within three calendar years earn IIM Lucknow Executive Alumni status.
